I will overwhelm 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the novice is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
