In a unexpected partnership that breaks conventional expectations, the game developer has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Revealed
According to the formal announcement, "A strange meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome transformations reverberate through the obscurity." The plot features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret group.
The adventure focuses on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Changes
The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Bonus Features
Players who accomplish the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana alongside several objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
